When our club has a ‘Pro’ demonstrator we usually have them stay an extra day to conduct a full day “Hands On” class. This class is limited to 6-8 people and for a fee it gives us a chance to rub shoulders with some real talent, get some one-on-one instruction and pick up new ideas and techniques. I have attended many of these “Hands On” classes as well as a couple of week long courses.

I can highly recommend John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina and the Marc Adams School of Woodworking in southeastern Indiana.

Below are photos of some of the talented folks I have learned from. I owe them all a debt of gratitude for graciously sharing their talent and knowledge. They all have had a part in making me a better wood turner.
