Carving is a relaxing pastime that I really enjoy. Unfortunately it usually takes a long time to complete projects of any size. I guess I’m a bit impatient. Wood turning offers nearly instant gratification and allows me to produce a quantity of items that are relatively easy to sell to offset my tool habit. Carvings in general are not so easy to sell. I have done some carving on my turnings and hope to do more in the future. Again the time factor makes it harder to sell the turnings at a reasonable price.
